Managing retail space rarely comes down to a single decision. The same price has to appear on the shelf, in the leaflet, on the promotional display and in the system – at the same time and without mistakes. The bigger the store and the more frequent the changes, the greater the risk of a mismatch between what is in the database and what the customer sees.
DSM – Digital Store Map is MAGO’s proprietary solution that brings order to this process. The system maps the store layout as a digital map and assigns products to specific places on the shelves. As a result, every price or display change has a clear address – you know exactly where it needs to be made and whether it has been done.
The system is built around a control application available on a computer and a mobile device. Staff on the sales floor can update data and print labels without going back to the back room, using a PDA terminal and a mobile printer.
The solution can be extended with electronic shelf labels, so a price change in the system is automatically reflected in what the customer sees at the shelf.
