Seismic racking
The pallet racking we offer for seismically active zones is designed according to European and local (national) standards, which guarantees safe use in these areas. Currently, these solutions are based on the HX pallet racking system, although other pallet racking systems in the MAGO S.A. range can be adapted for use in seismically active zones.
Racking in seismically active zones
For each structure in a seismically active zone, a complex calculation process is carried out that takes into account key design conditions, local regulations and the peak ground acceleration factor. These analyses are carried out to ensure the required load capacity and stability of the pallet racking structure in question. Below is a map showing the peak ground acceleration (PGA) factor which, together with the project’s design parameters and national and European regulations, determines the calculation analysis.
Seismic racking
The map below shows the regions of Europe that are particularly exposed to ground acceleration. Due to the complexity of the design process, a structural design is prepared for each racking structure, including a calculation analysis based on official guidelines for ground acceleration. This analysis is carried out for the safety of the structure’s users, to ensure the required load capacity and stability of the racking system.
