Sto Norge – a warehouse with MAGO HX high-bay racking
Complete warehouse fit-out for a Norwegian façade systems manufacturer in Langhus: almost 5,000 m², 7.4 m high racks and 4,600 pallet positions.
The challenges our client set us
Sto Norge was looking for a partner who would:

Ensure safe working conditions – despite heavy forklift traffic
Streamline order picking – and the final stage of preparing goods for shipment
Tailor the solution to individual needs – including a custom colour scheme
Project scope
The project covered designing the fittings to the client's individual needs and installing the finished racking systems, together with solutions that improve safety and the flow of goods.
HX high-bay racking
7.4 m high racks designed for pallets weighing up to 18 tonnes – 4,600 pallet positions in total.
Safety features
Mesh guards above the aisles, corner protectors and guard rails protecting uprights from forklift impacts.
Order-picking zone
Gravity shelves (roller beds) that automate the flow of goods and make splitting pallets easier.
Panel shelves and pallet terminals
Storage of smaller packages and a tidy warehouse thanks to terminals for empty pallets.
Consultancy and advice
We began by analysing the client’s needs: the types of materials stored, the picking process and traffic organisation in the warehouse.
Design
We designed the HX rack layout, including zones separated by mesh partitions and additional safety features.
Manufacturing and delivery
We manufactured the system components in a custom black-and-yellow colour scheme and delivered them to Norway.
Installation
All HX system components are assembled with bolted and hook-in connections, allowing them to be quickly dismantled and reused in a new configuration.
